Take these broken wings

I saw this bee on Halloween. She was busy foraging,  and her wings show that she has been out in the field for some weeks: if you look closely, you can see that the edges of her wings are torn.

Worker bees start as house bees, then head into the field, where they die of exhaustion/ torn wings. Aww!
