Bird fog

The other morming when it was foggy, a flock of sanderlings swerved unusually close towards me at the beach. I recalled that the alleged inspiration for Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds was a reported case of disorientated birds crashing into a fog-bound Capitola Village on California's Central Coast.
