Digging for gold

The low tide brought those in the know to the beach. Metal detectors, clam diggers, and water drinkers abounded. And shortly after sunset, giant flocks of sanderlings streaked home across gold and cobalt skies. Hopefully, they all found what they were looking for on this most brilliant of halcyon days.
