I've got a bad case of carpenter bee envy

I love carpenter bees. They are large and black and look a lot like bumble bees except they don't have a yellow band of fur on their bum.

I spotted this carpenter bee visiting a sage plant in my friend Celeste's backyard today. She says these bees absolutely love this plant.
So, now I'm hoping that if I plant this particular sage in my yard, I can attract these deliciously large black bees into my garden next spring.
